Twice received dishes with 'bonus' ingredients, not listed on the menu. Food OK, but be sure to check your orders before digging in. Especially if you have any food allergies.

Average Thai Place
Have eaten there a few times now, definitely nothing out of this world but also not terrible. I would reccomend the other thai place up a block or so instead

I did take out from this place last night and all I really have to say is cheap ingredients and high price. This is the 2nd time I am eating at Joey Thia (first time I dined in). And I was unhappy with the food.

Fresh and friendly!
Had a fabulous meal at Joey Thai this evening! Our party of 6 ordered soup, apps, entrees, desserts, and thai iced tea. The food was extremely fresh and authentic. The service was outstanding, and the owner/chef spent time getting to know us. Another plus is that its a BYOB, so we picked up some plum wine before going to dinner. It's wonderful to know that you can get great Thai in Montclair.

The Best Thai Food In Montclair!
My wife and I have tried a few different Thai places in Montclair as well as a few in New York. We are fans of authentic Thai food and find Joey's to be the best so far. Joey plays a big part in the success of the restaurant. He personally comes out and greets his customers and makes sure they are happy with their food and service. He is the only chef and creates very authentic home style Thai dishes. The portions are good and it is a great value. The place is a little small but makes it feel like home. We would recommend this place and will be revisiting soon.

Joey thai is my favorite thai restaurant. The food is delicious and comes out quick and is very affordable. Joey himself comes out to greet all his guests as well. Highly recommended.

and better value. Basic atmosphere but having been to Thailand, this is the best bang for your buck...Joey is very accomodating...

Amazing place, must go!
I really enjoyed the dining experience at this restaurant, I went with a couple of friends, the food was authentic, unlike all the other restaurants, and surprisingly it was also very cheap. The food was amazing, I would definitely recommend trying this place out.

Went there for lunch -- wonderfully flavorful food & a terrific value. Plus there's Joey - very friendly, warm & welcoming host. No pretension - just great food!
