Doesn't live up to the hype
A nice place & above average food but spotty service and the dining room is freezing on cold nights. After two visits I've had enough. Fascino does it better for less

Very Disappointing Restaurant Week Menu
After watching Top Chef, I was very excited to check out CulinAriane for restaurant week. I always go to r.w. in New York, and it is a great way to sample what the restaurant and chef have to offer. The r.w. menu at CulinAriane was quite disappointing. The amuse bouche and the dessert were the only saving graces around an overall subpar meal. The waitress, who provided excellent service, raved about the dishes that the restaurant was known for -- none of which were on the r.w. menu. I was given the impression that the restaurant owners believed they were taking a dire loss by offering this menu at all, and had chosen to counteract that by offering the cheapest possible entrees, which failed to challenge my tastebuds or fill my stomach. Particularly following Chef Ariane's participation in a nationally televised cooking show, and the restaurant's reviews and prices, I expected much more from my experience. As a representation of the restaurant and its owners, the r.w. menu left me sorely disappointed. I did not leave feeling compelled to make another trip back to try the restaurant's signature dishes, particularly since as a r.w. customer they did not feel me worthy enough to try them the first time.
